UFC 107 Preview

Looking back now, I sort of wish I'd have gotten good seats and made the drive over to Memphis for the weekend's UFC festivities. It's only 2 hours away, as opposed to the 5 hours we went to Dallas for UFC 103. That was a great show and there's probably no way we'd have a better time than we did there, since I'm in Memphis all too often, but the actual fight card has me pretty excited now.

My picks in RED:

UFC 107: Penn vs Sanchez

* Champ B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez (for lightweight title)
* Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir
* Jon Fitch vs. Mike Pierce
* Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida
* Paul Buentello vs. Stefan Struve

I'm actually interested in all 5 of those fights plus a few on the under card. Obviously both the BJ vs Diego and Florian vs Guida have fight of the year possibilities written all over them, but Mir running his mouth has Kongo pretty fired up so I'm interested in that one (although is should still be all Mir) and I like the tall kid, Stefan Struve, and think he's going to beat the UFC vet. Clay Guida is one of my favorite fighters ever and always delivers excitement. Jon Fitch is one of those guys I'd always pay to see as well. Should be a great show.
