A few Stephen King items I felt like sharing cause I love the man. First up he gives his top 10 films of 2009, which I found quite interesting. He claims The Last House on The Left is on par with The Silence of the Lambs (I don't agree, but really liked it) and also picks 2012 and says "You got a problem with that?" Stephen King could really care less about being all cool and picking the "in films" like so many academy members and critics and I dig that about him. I'll have to look for a one he lists that I haven't heard of, Disgrace with John Malkovich. Looks cool. Anyway here's your linktastic link:

And one of my favorite country artists is outlaw country rocker Shooter Jennings (yes, Waylon's son). I have all his CDs and have seen him numerous times in concert. Well apparently on his upcoming CD, Black Ribbons, Stephen King has a major role. Here's more:
"King is the voice of Will O' The Wisp, a radio talk-show host being phased out due to government censorship. He spends his last hour on the air delivering a diatribe about the decline of America, and playing the music of an important band — which happens to be Jennings' new band, Hierophant."
Huh? I don't know what to make of this, but sign me up. Shooter and King together? This will be interesting. The CD is due out March 2nd and I have the calendar marked.

And in a final piece of odd Stephen King news, it seems Shooter isn't the only country cat he's hanging out with as he and John Mellencamp are casting a theatrical collaboration titled Ghost Brothers of Darkland County and so far they have Rosanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson, who will be married. John Mellencamp will be their son, Elvis Costello will be some sort of devil and King will play Uncle Steve. Sheryl Crow and several other singer-songwriters will be in there somehow, too. Yeah, this sounds wild. It's apparently going to be a CD that King says "experience more akin to listening to an old radio show with music." Sold.
