I guess I'd call this sort of a medical horror movie. There's a lot of gross stuff with the human cadavers going on, as you'd expect with the students being in the Gross Anatomy class, and it advertises that there are actual real human bodies used in some scenes, which is sort of creepy. The setting is mostly in a hospital and this helps build a lot of good tension as it's actually a pretty creepy place. Our heroine spends a lot of time slowly walking down long corridors and the film uses the lighting really well in many of these sequences to make it spooky.
I thought it was going to be one of those "the spirit is trying to tell us something" films but it's not, merely a pissed off spirit putting the smack down on those who disrespect it's corpse. The ghost never really manifests itself so it actually makes the film a bit slow and dull pretty often I thought. There are still some good scenes, like one in particular involving a big vat of cadavers, and overall it's pretty watchable and enjoyable as they don't behave too supidly. There's a body count but so much what happens to the victims happens off screen or bodies just turn up without us seeing what happens. Seems like for an R-rated horror movie they cut down on a lot of the horror.
Corri English plays the heroine and I found her pretty fun to watch as she's really cute and plays the role very believably (and spends a good deal of time in just a bra).
Overall it's fairly unique and eerie enough to give a look.
