Scream Queen #1: Odette Annable

Ladies in horror movies have come a long way since playing the screaming victims in every movie. Sure, there's a high body count of females usually but more often than not the last one left or the strongest one nowadays is a women. And horror directors know what people like, and that's hot women. So here's a new feature for this Halloween at Focused D, and that's to honor a few of my favorite horror queens, starting with one who ranked No.88 in FHM's Sexiest Women in the World List of 2008. I thought of her after seeing the latest episode of House, where she's playing Dr. Jessica Adams this season. Probably most famous for being on the poster for The Unborn, standing in front of the bathroom mirror in very small undies. Odd way to sell a horror movie but oh well, I ain't complaining. She's got a few scenes in the film wearing the same very small outfit.

Bio: Born Odette Juliette Yustman on 10 May, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, Odette started her career with a minor role in the movie Kindergarten Cop (1990) as "Rosa." After graduating from Woodcrest Christian High School in Riverside, California, where she was the homecoming queen, she turned to modeling with a few roles through the years. Some of her credits include Danielle Steel's Remembrance (1996) (TV) and Dear God (1996) with a few guest appearances in "Quintuplets" (2004). In 2006, Odette was cast in Jennifer Lopez's "South Beach" (2006) where she played "Arielle Casta." She was then cast in the drama "October Road." (2007) as "Aubrey."

Horror resume:

* And Soon the Darkness (2010) played Ellie (as Odette Yustman)

* The Unborn (2009) played Casey Beldon (as Odette Yustman)

* Cloverfield (2008) played Beth McIntyre (as Odette Yustman)

I'm not really a big fan of the first 2 but I really like Cloverfield, and she's gorgeous in it. Big surprise there.
