Gods Of Thunder

Your Halloween gift in video form of the day is from the Rock Honors show back in 2006 when Rob Zombie, Slash, Gilby Clark, Tommy Lee and Scott Ian were on stage, then Rob promptly brought out Ace Frehley and they all lit into KISS' "God of Thunder" like they were auditioning to be the house band in hell.

Rob's original band, White Zombie, released a cover of the song as a vinyl-only single in 1989. Rob used the original version in his brutal Halloween remake as well. I still consider this my favorite KISS song of all-time. As Gene Simmon's "theme song" of sorts, a lot of people don't know it was actually written by Paul Stanley and the original (slightly faster) demo version had him on vocals (find it on the box set).

For now, suck on this all-star version while carving your pumpkins...
