Godsmack Brings The Voodoo

Yep, it's already that time of year when I flood the blog with Halloween videos, reviews, comics and so forth. I'm kicking it off with a nu-classic, Godsmack's "Voodoo" song and video. It makes my yearly Halloween music mix without fail and is just a cool, creepy sounding tune.

The video, directed by Dean Karr, shows witches performing a ritual with swords. The band is shown throughout the video playing in a corn field. A naked gorgon is shown dancing which is also part of the ritual. Zombies come out of a lake and wander through the woods. The video actually features American Witchcraft high priestess Laurie Cabot and members of her coven at that time.

The zombies come from the inspiration of the song. Sully Erna stated that he got the idea for the song from Wes Craven's horror film The Serpent and the Rainbow.

Blast this one!
