Clowns Are Scary

Sure, clowns are scary... but clowns in pain = funny? I guess? I don't know what to make of the new Walmart ad. It is memorable though, I must say that. Maybe too memorable as I might see this in my nightmares.



I can't help but feel sorry for the old man. He's just trying to entertain his kid for her birthday and suddenly he's got a nasty foot injury. Go Walmart!

Shy Ronnie

Personally I think Andy Samberg from Saturday Night Live is one of the the funniest guys on television right now. His digital shorts are often the best part of the show and his comedy troupe The Lonely Island (along with Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) is often brilliant. What I love about his musical stuff is that most of it is not only funny but usually really catchy. For instance, here's the skit with Rihanna where he plays the character "Shy Ronnie" that cracks me up everytime:

I still love the Muppets for some reason. Perhaps because I'm an immature idiot.

I really do find it pretty comical that they made this cool little viral video of Beaker trying to play Kansas' "Dust In The Wind" only to get bombed by the Internet's keyboard warriors. Seems the old school Muppets are some of the only ones who actually have the Internet and it's lemmings all figured out. Well done. Maybe not as cool as Bohemian Rhapsody a little while back, but still cool.

Galifianakis Brilliance

I've watched Saturday Night Live for well over 30 years now, meaning that I've seen pretty much every episode ever, and I thought Zach Galifianakis' opening monologue this past weekend was one of the funniest I can remember. Most of it was his stand-up bit, but by the end he'd stripped to an Annie outfit and lip-synced to the song "Tomorrow" while tearing messages off an easel and I was literally laughing outloud. This guy is just genuinely hilarious to me. He played some other funnies characters during the whole but I thought the monologue set the tone perfectly.

Italian Spiderman is a film parody of Italian action–adventure films of the 60s and 70s by Alrugo Entertainment, an Australian film-making collective formed by Dario Russo, Tait Wilson, David Ashby, Will Spartalis and Boris Repasky. Ostensibly an Italian take on the comic book superhero Spider-Man. This trailer was released, followed by a full-length feature made up of ten mini-episodes.
