Machine Head Back To Studio

If you don't have Machine Head's "The Blackening" you're missing one of the best metal CDs of all-time from your collection. But that CD came out way back in March, 2007 so it's be 4 freakin' years already! I saw them in Vegas with Metallica in that time and really started getting into their back catalog, but damn I'm ready for some new music.

So in November 2010, Machine Head began writing and demoing new material for their seventh studio album. They plan on touring the USA this summer with the 2011 Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, where they will open the main stage for Megadeth, Godsmack, and Disturbed for the first 9 dates and headline the Extreme Stage for the remaining 18.

Now they've announced they are to commence recording of their new album on April 16th 2011 at Green Day's Jingletown Studios in Oakland, California. Hopefully it'll be in my grubby little hands by the end of 2011.
