Riverfest Sunday Headliner

The Amphitheater stage at Little Rock's Riverfest 2010 now has a headliner for Sunday, and it's rapper Ludacris. This is at the same time that classic rockers The Steve Miller Band is playing on the nearby Clinton Library stage. Very interesting mix of people due there I'm sure.

Not only that but the Amphitheater stage is just several hundred feet away from The President Clinton Library, and Ludacris bashed Hillary Clinton in one of his songs saying "Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant", in reference to Hillary's campaign comments against Obama. Read more here about that if you want.

It's also of note that Riverfest is a billed as a family event, and political pundit Bill O'Reilly called for all Americans to boycott Pepsi products back in 2002 saying that Ludacris' lyrics glamorize a "life of guns, violence, drugs and disrespect of women" after Pepsi had used him in ads.

Sample lyrics:

Luda! I'm a hustler, BALLER, gangsta, CAP PEELER
I stay strapped like your neighborhood trap dealer
I got rifles that blow ya below ya bible belt
And mac-11's that leave you wetter than Michael Phelps!

Eh, if you need me, I'll be home grilling and drinking beer and avoiding that cultural clash that Sunday.
