So it's the first Tuesday of the new year at this time of the year no artists really release much new music... you'll have to settle for movies and video games I guess while you're couped up from the cold. Well, at least I'm couped up from the cold, I realize that some people don't mind it as much as I do. I just hate it. I actually forced myself to go running yesterday, because my body was literally freaking out since it'd been a week from my last run and let's just say that over my long weekend I spent a whole lot of time on the couch eating a whole lot, drinking plenty of beer, reading and watching the boob tube and such. Not real healthy. Well I wrapped up like Maggie Simpson in her little star jumpsuit and managed to force myself out in the weather, mid-30s with a bit of wind just past sunset, and sure enough I thought they were going to have to send the St. Bernard with some brandy on his collar. No, really, I wish someone would have! I managed to get 2 1/2 miles in before I came home and whined for an hour. Hell I guess I'm still whining. But I'll be doing again later in the week so I'll shut up now.
On to the new stuff! Musically, bleh. Elvis' 75th birthday is Jan. 8 so there's another compilation CD out from the King, sort of like a condensed version of the box set out just before Christmas so it's a nice little collection I guess.
* Elvis Presley ~ "Elvis 75: Good Rockin' Tonight" (single CD; box set released Dec. 8, 2009)
Only 1 movie that I want to get and I missed it in the theater:
* The Final Destination DVD (horror/thriller)
And a couple of excellent looking games that I may pick up when they get way cheaper later in the year:
* Bayonetta ~ Video Game X360/PS3 (action-adventure story in which Bayonetta, a reborn witch, will have to battle angels with unique "witch-like abilities" and guns equipped to her hands and feet)
* Darksiders: Wrath of War ~ Video Game X360/PS3(play as one of the four Horseman of the apocalypse in this action adventure game)
