Synopsis: On a weekend trip to Hawaii, a plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler) convinces his loyal assistant (Jennifer Anniston) to pose as his soon-to-be-divorced wife in order to cover up a careless lie he told to his much-younger girlfriend (Brooklyn Decker). Shenanigans ensue.
There's not much you need to know about this chick flick up front really. Brooklyn Decker is smokin' hot. Jennifer Anniston is gorgeous. Adam Sandler acts like a goofball. And every element of this plot you've seen in a hundred other chick flicks that have come before it. This is a rom-com, so expect it to act like a rom-com and you'll have a bit of fun.
Why? Well, it's mainly set (and filmed) in Hawaii, which is fantastic. All of the cast is good and there are even a few decent laughs. Not only are the great people I listed above in it (and yes Jennifer and Brooklyn both get down to the bikinis) but Nick Swardson steals some scenes and is the funniest person in the movie. Minka Kelly, Dan Patrick, Nicole Kidman and even Dave Matthews (yes, that Dave Matthews) have roles. The cast is a lot of fun. There are even a couple of smart mouthed kids that you'll want to spank the entire movie.
It's all quite ridiculous and mostly just plain stupid, but it's not trying to be anything else and it has a lot of charm between all the goofiness. Do like the title says, and just go with it, and you just might enjoy it. I'm as surprised as you are, but damned if I didn't.
