So after spending the weekend sick and not being able to fully enjoy the family Mother's Day gathering or the Edgefest concert, I was pretty pissy about getting back to work yesterday. It's just annoying to trudge through a week of work only to get to a weekend filled with rain and tornadoes rolling through every day or laying around sick. So when I had today on the schedule to be on vacation, I fully expected to still be sick and for it to be raining. But low and behold, yesterday I began to feel better and I made it out to the Trav's game last night... then woke up to sunshine and warm weather! Oh joy! After a quick run this morning and a nice calm breakfast while reading the paper on the deck, I'm heading back to the ballpark for an 11:00 AM Trav's game, followed by the afternoon downtown, then back to the park for a 7:00 PM game with the top 10 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team. I don't want to bring bad luck, but perhaps this can almost make up for the weekend's yuckyness.
