How Super Is Super 8?

So nobody knows much about the upcoming movie Super 8 yet except the trailer below that was released last week. Why all the excitement? Well, for 1 thing... the trailer is awesome and really gets the imagination going. More reasons? How does "produced by Steven Spielberg" and "directed by J.J. Abrams" grab ya? J.J. has already directed a couple of little films you may have heard of, namely Mission: Impossible III and Star Trek. I don't think I have space in this blog to list Spielberg's resume, but his name is on classics ranging from E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial to Saving Private Ryan... and 2 of my favorite all-times films are Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

So, fingers are crossed here that this will be another classic, or at least a huge Summer (2011) blockbuster:
