Rockin' Tuesday

Edgefest VI has been announced in Little Rock and this year it's at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds again, but it's earlier in the year so it's shouldn't be near as hot. And by near as hot I mean I shouldn't be soaked with sweat from just standing in line to get in. The date is May 8th and the band line-up looks a bit like this:

* Godsmack
* Rob Zombie
* Papa Roach
* Five Finger Death Punch
* Hellyeah
* Drowning Pool
* Bullet For My Valentine
* Lacuna Coil

Not bad at all. I've seen every band except the last 2 and I've seen Godsmack, Rob, 5FDP and Drowning Pool all more than twice. Should be a great day. I swore I was too old for these day-long outdoor concerts but here I go again. Eh, what the hell. You only live once. Or twice. Who really knows?

As for live music scene, this year is starting to be a real ass-kicker. I've only been to 2 shows so far, Paul Thorn at the Rev Room (excellent) and Sevendust/Drowning Pool/Down From Up/Digital Summer at The Village, but this coming week I'll see no less than 6 bands over 2 nights in 2 cities.

Friday night is Flyleaf, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin in Little Rock and Saturday night is Blackberry Wednesday, Chosen View and the mighty Tora Tora in Memphis. That should kick start a great run of shows with Cold, Nonpoint, OTEP, Bury Your Dead, Destrophy and others already in my sights.

So enough live talk... how about the new releases? It is Tuesday ya know. Read on:
