"Chelsea Cannell here with an update on what films you should gear up to go see this summer! With so many movies coming out, we thought we'd give you the top 10 flicks we think you should see this summer movie season."
So that's a pretty good list I must say. Let's summarize...
Thor - May 6th
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - May 20th
The Hangover 2 - May 26th
Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Jul 1st
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Jul 15th
Captain America: The First Avenger - Jul 22nd
Cowboys and Aliens - Jul 29th
Crazy Stupid Love - Jul 19th
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Aug 5th
Fright Night - Aug 19th
How does mine differ? Well, I'm not that interested in The Hangover 2 really, although I love the first one. I'm replacing it with Priest, which comes out May 13th, on my list. Also I'm dropping Crazy Stupid Love and putting Super 8, due June 10th from JJ Abrams, in that spot. I need a horror movie in there but it's not a remake of Fright Night, it's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark , out Aug 12th. I'm also replacing the Pirates of the Caribbeans with Kung Fu Panda 2. I need my animation! So here's my Top 10 for the Summer season:
Thor - May 6th
Priest - May 13th
Kung Fu Panda 2 - May 27th
Super 8 - Jun 10th
Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Jul 1st
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Jul 15th
Captain America: The First Avenger - Jul 22nd
Cowboys and Aliens - Jul 29th
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Aug 5th
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - Aug 12th
There's lot of great stuff to pick from though and this post hasn't even mentioned X-Men: First Class (Jun 3rd) or Green Lantern (Jun 17th), which both look pretty cool.
If you like the comic book/superhero stuff it's going to be a good Summer for you I'd say. Count me in.
